I realize that happiness is a choice, and I choose to take the actions that are most likely to result in joy.
I resist regretful thinking, release anger, and replace it with gratitude. I put away resentment and forgive those who have wronged me.
I seek to understand, discard the will to fight, and start embracing. I practice kindness and choose to respond instead of reacting. I commit to making better choices.
I am committed to loving myself first. Thus, I treat myself kindly and nourish my spirit. I forgive myself for my weaknesses. I am gentle with myself when I fail.
I choose to look at the bright side. I prefer to appreciate myself for the gifts I bring into the world.
I am patient with myself. I allow myself time to heal. I acknowledge when I need to slow down. I keep going until I get tired.
I take pleasure in small accomplishments. I notice when I do something well. I enjoy the process of living.
I say yes to opportunities that challenge me. I am willing to stretch myself. I welcome change.
I nurture my joy, stay present with the here and now, and permit myself to laugh. I remember that the journey matters more than the destination.
Today, I plan ahead and then enjoy the ride. I prepare for tomorrow, focus on the future, and plan for success. My future is exciting. And I am ready for it.
