I give my mind and body the rest and relaxation they require each day. I am a human being, and I require rest and downtime just like everyone else.
I am happy to give myself the rest I need to be at my best each day.
My body is amazing, but it still requires regular rest. I ensure that I get the sleep I need each night. When I get sufficient sleep, I am more productive. Sleep helps to keep my body healthy and working properly. I am less likely to get sick when I get a good night of sleep on a regular basis.
I take breaks during the day as necessary.
My mind needs a breather several times throughout the day. These breaks keep me fresh and sharp. I make wiser decisions after taking a short break.
I take vacations a few times each year.
I can really recharge my batteries when I take a vacation. It is necessary to have longer periods of downtime periodically to fully recover physically and mentally from my regular daily routine.
Today, I am getting the rest I need and going to bed on time. I give myself permission to work at a pace that is comfortable for me. I remind myself that rest and downtime are necessary and okay.
Self-Reflection Questions:
- How much sleep do my mind and body require each night? How many hours am I actually getting?
- How long can I work productively before I need a break? How often am I actually taking a break?
- What would happen if I consistently got enough sleep at night and took frequent breaks during the day?
