Affirmation for Accept Criticism
I seek out opportunities to grow. When I receive unsolicited opinions and advice from others, rather than getting offended, I view it as an opportunity to display my maturity by being gracious with my response.
I realize that, at times, my insecurities may cause me to be overly sensitive and react negatively even to the most well-meaning suggestions. When this happens, I maintain my composure and remind myself of all of my positive attributes.
In the end, I am the only person who can decide whether I am doing well for myself. I am the only person who knows whether I am living my life as I should. I often exceed my very own rigid expectations. Therefore, I am proud of myself.
I use positive feedback from others to help me improve myself. When someone “gives it to me straight” in a constructive manner, I welcome the advice and hold great respect for the person who cares enough to directly see to it that I reach my fullest potential.
I actively implement advice that I think can increase my quality of life, advancement of my career, or my self-esteem.
Today, I release my defensiveness and consider taking the advice others send my way. I keep my mind open to new ideas and strive to better myself.
