I give thanks for 10 things each day.
There is so much that I am thankful for. As I lie in bed each morning, my mind instantly starts to run through all that I can say ‘thanks’ about.
I know that I could spend all day listing the many things that spark my gratitude, but instead I focus on 10 things each day.
When I open my eyes and see the sun peeping through the cracks in the window, I give thanks for a new day. As I wiggle my toes and stretch my fingers, I am grateful for having them to help me do good things for others.
I find meaning in the simple occurrences of each day. As I wait on the traffic light to turn green, I am thankful for the opportunity to say a kind word or give a kind gesture to another road user.
Although I can easily find 10 different things to be grateful for each day, I always include thanks for loved ones and the opportunity to live right with others. I recognize that people around me who show me love help to make life worth living. I also recognize that having the opportunity to show love to others is something I am meant to do.
Today, I commit to remaining eternally grateful. I commit to being truly thankful for all the blessings that come my way, even if I fail to see it right away. I know there is much to be thankful for!
