Today, I build loving relationships. I reach out to others with an open heart.
I develop the courage to be vulnerable. I focus on what I have to gain. Feeling embarrassed or rejected for a brief moment is a small price to pay for being able to find close friends or a romantic partner.
I start small. I accept favors from coworkers and party invitations from friends. I enjoy creating connections instead of trying to defend my emotional walls. I take pleasure in knowing that I am allowing others to experience the joy of giving.
I seek opportunities to learn and grow. As I add to my knowledge and skills, I become more interesting and attractive. My confidence makes me fun to be around.
I let go of judgements. I focus on listening to others and understanding their needs. I want to appreciate them and offer assistance instead of making negative assumptions.
I share my feelings. I let others get to know me. I talk about sensitive subjects. I acknowledge my emotions and take responsibility for them. I welcome feedback from others and use their comments to make positive changes in my behavior.
I love myself. Connecting with others starts with valuing myself. I practice self-care and seek relationships that are based on shared goals and trust.
Today, I welcome love and affection into my life. I open up my heart to the possibility of new and deeper relationships.
