My mind is a window to my soul. How I choose to use it determines my ability to obtain genuine peace of mind.
The end of each work day is a time of relief for me. It is when I get the chance to rebuild myself physically and emotionally. I use my after-work hours to go deep within myself and renew my energies.
My first course of action when I get home from work is to sit quietly. Spending several moments in silence allows me to shed the stresses of the day.
When I sense the feeling of lightness, I know that I am ready to focus on clearing my mind. The first step to achieving that is surrounding myself with sources of calm. I like listening to meditative music in a candlelit room.
Opening myself up to wherever my mind takes me is freeing. It is a peaceful time when I release any pressure to play a role for others in my life.
Connecting with my deepest thoughts gives me a chance to shed any negative energy that plagues me. It is okay to be at peace with myself after having a rough day. That is how I am able to renew myself to perform optimally the next day.
Today, going deep in thought is the remedy for any spiritual restlessness that I feel. It is a relief to be able to shed the weight of each day by only focusing on where my mind takes me.
