Even when I feel less active or enthusiastic about life, I know that being active boosts my energy, and energy breeds enthusiasm into my life. I take advantage of this enthusiasm each day. I put one foot in front of the other and face life’s challenges as they come.
I move through the motions of life and find joy, taking life one day at a time.
I realize that tomorrow can take care of itself. So, I enjoy today. I choose to spend my time here and now. I live in the present moment.
I know how much time I can waste living outside of the present.
I choose to be happy now.
I let go of expectations. I learn how to concentrate on the here and now. Instead of planning and hoping for a better future, I savor the present moment of my life.
I practice gratitude each day. I thank my Creator for everything he does for me.
I am grateful for the simple pleasures of this moment. I enjoy the little things in life.
I focus on the beauty of life. I notice each little detail, like how the wind blowing through the trees makes the leaves dance. How the rainbow reflects the sun after a refreshing rain or a scary storm. How delicious the coffee smells when I first wake up.
Today, it is easier for me to notice the little things in life than it has ever been. I am becoming more joyful, too, as I become more conscious of my surroundings.
Self-Reflection Questions:
- How does feeling good affect my relationships with family and friends?
- How can I learn to appreciate the small things and celebrate the beauty of life?
- What is something I regularly do in my daily routines that makes me happy?
