I take this moment to breathe in and out. I train myself to do this practice instead of holding my breath. I notice this works well to calm me down.
I feel my shoulders falling back down into their perfect place. I love how quickly my body responds to the breath.
I continue to expand my breath to longer breaths. I notice that my breathing extends deeper into my torso as well. I feel my belly expand. I am at peace with my belly being relaxed. I start to feel my whole torso relax.
I feel my jaw unclench. My body settles down even more with each breath. I feel a wave of calm wash over me. I breathe a sigh of relief.
I start to wiggle out any residual tension. I am starting to feel better. I even notice a smile developing on my face. It expands with each breath. I am calming down.
My thoughts turn from my “to do” list to noticing the natural environment around me. I see the color of the leaves. I look up at the sky. I notice my feet on the ground.
I feel a peaceful presence descend gently down like a white puffy cloud, encompassing my body.
Today, in this moment, I feel at peace. I am at peace. I embody peace.
Self-Reflection Questions:
- How can I cultivate a more peaceful presence?
- What can I do to catch myself when I notice myself leaving that natural state of peace?
- What am I going to do daily to maintain my peaceful presence?
