I am imperfect, but I do my best each day. Perfection is an unobtainable objective that only leads to constant failure. I congratulate myself each day for giving my best effort in everything I do.
I avoid criticizing myself. The world is challenging enough without making it even more challenging. It is pointless to make my life any more challenging than it needs to be by lowering my self-esteem.
I choose to focus on my positive qualities and simply correct my errors as I move through life. This is an effective way for me to live my life.
I weaken myself when I criticize myself. I feel less capable and less powerful with self-criticism.
I make the decision each day to praise myself and acknowledge my positive qualities. This puts me in a much better mental state that supports happiness and success.
I engage in positive self-talk that strengthens, motivates, and supports me. I deserve to be spoken to in a kind and supportive manner. I want the best for myself and I speak to myself accordingly.
Today, I am freeing myself from any self-generated criticism. I am focusing on my positive attributes and strengths. I am choosing to see myself in a positive light, and I am accepting my flaws. I am free of the habit of criticizing myself.
Self-Reflection Questions:
- What do I criticize myself about? What do I think this will accomplish? What negative impact does it have on my life when I criticize myself?
- What would change in my life if I stopped criticizing myself?
- What are my positive qualities? What am I good at?
