When times are difficult and challenges arise, I acknowledge the power of the light.
I understand that by acting as a beacon of light and positivity, I can play my part in driving out darkness.
When times are challenging, and it seems that there is no answer, I know that I can look deep within myself to summon a flicker of light, and act as a beacon for hope, love, and positivity.
A single match can cause a blazing forest fire. I acknowledge my own power to act as that single match.
I acknowledge that I can hold a candle for another who cannot see the light and that I can guide their way with the tiniest pinprick of hope. I recognize this power within myself and my responsibility to use it.
After all, love is all there really is. Or it can be that way if I so desire. Fear, hate, and ignorance only have power over me if I let them.
I appreciate the power of love and compassion and my own power to use both to bring light to darkness.
I recognize that understanding holds more power than ignorance.
I appreciate the incredible kindness of strangers. I see the power that comes with community, rather than division.
Today, I choose compassion. I choose a lifestyle of understanding, respect, tolerance, and the power of positivity to drive out darkness.

- What judgments do I hold about others that are less than fair?
- Why do I hold these judgments? Where do they come from?
