I am filled with peaceful energy.
I use my breath to relax. I pause in between errands and business meetings. I go outside or sit down in a comfortable chair. I release tension and anxiety.
I use my breath to subdue anger. When I am in a conflict with a friend or coworker, I stop and consider the situation from their perspective. I think before I speak, so I can make my message tactful and constructive.
I use my breath to encourage healing. I manage the discomfort of aching knees or an upset stomach. I imagine my breath warming my body and restoring my health.
Breathing appropriately for each exercise helps me to exercise in ways that most benefit me.
Breathing helps me to cheer up. When I feel fatigued or stressed, I bring more oxygen into my body with deep breaths.
I perform breathing exercises when I wake up and before I go to bed. I experiment with a variety of techniques to find what works for me.
I adopt habits that help me to breathe more effectively throughout the day. I quit smoking and use caffeine and alcohol in moderation. I check my posture to be sure my back is straight, and my chest is lifted.
Today, I appreciate the gift of breath. I grow calmer and happier each time I inhale and exhale.
